RECENT EVENTS

Retirement

We have recently seen the retirement of Corps Treasurer, Doreen Terry.

Doreen has served as Treasurer at Shipley for many, many years and feels it is finally time to step down from such a demanding role. We take the opportunity to thank Doreen for all her hard work over the years.

Harvest, MAD Day and CAP Sponsored Walk

Our autumn has been a busy season.

We celebrated Harvest with Majors Peter and Sylvia Dalziel, our MAD Day in October saw us doing practical jobs for our local community and our younger members (and some not so young) undertook a sponsored walk in aid of Christians Against Poverty (CAP). Have a look in the Gallery for more pictures.

Church Retreat

Well, we've had another great weekend at the scout campsite at Sconce on Baildon Moor. A study into the feeding of the 5,000 really brought home the point that with God, anything is possible. Photos from the weekend are now posted in the Gallery for you to see.

Easter Prayer Room

As a lead up to the Easter weekend, our small hall was available 24/7 as a prayer room with some very special focal points on the events leading up to Easter Day. Our Gallery shows photos from the weekend for you to see.

New Members

Shipley Salvation Army is growing!

We are delighted to have enrolled five new Junior Soldiers (our younger membership), three Adherents and a new Senior Soldier. Our New Members page on our Gallery shows everyone at their enrolments.
