CHRISTMAS DAY - 25th  December

Come and celebrate and birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our friendly, informal service starts at 10.30am.

 

 

MORNING SERVICE ONLY - 28th December

We are only having one service on Sunday 28th December. This commences at our usual time of 10.00am.

NEW YEAR'S EVE - 31st December

Our New Year's Eve celebration and Watchnight Service starts at 8.00pm.  An evening of fun and fellowship for all!

SCOUT PARADE - 22nd February

The next Scout, Cubs and Beavers church parade will take place on Sunday 22nd February. Tea and coffee will be served at 10.00 am and the Service commences at 10.30 am

 

 


RECENT EVENTS

New Members

Shipley Salvation Army is growing! 

We are delighted to have enrolled five new Junior Soldiers (our younger membership), three Adherents and a new Senior Soldier. Our New Members page on our Gallery shows everyone at their enrolments.

Church Retreat

As a church we have had some fabulous times lately, sharing together with one another and with God.  Our Retreat (held at the Scout venue of Sconce on Baildon Moor) proved to be a very special time for everyone involved.  Even the weather couldn't dampen our spirits.  Our Gallery shows photos from the weekend for you to see.

MAD Week 

MAD week 2008 was just as good a week as in previous years.  A slightly more condensed version still gave tons of opportunities to do our bit for our community and also for those linked with our Church.  

Teams of litter-pickers, bag-packers, car washers, painters, gardeners and bakers really played their part in serving God and our community.  Bible studies and prayer times at the beginning of each day really gave everyone the best start available.   View our Gallery for photos of our various activities. 

Church in the Park

We had a wonderful (but breezy) time in Roberts Park. The scouts joined us for games of rounders, cricket and football. The band played and we all brought our picnics while sharing great fellowship together.

Summer Fete at Saltaire United Reform Church

The weather held out for stall at the URC Fete in Saltaire. The brass band played to a large crowd. Some pictures in our Gallery are available for viewing.

JZone Sunday Prizegiving

Our kids really did us all proud on JZone Sunday when they worked hard to produce a Cafe Church service with dance, puppet shows, singing and a timbrel display. See our Gallery for photos of the very special night together with all of them receiving their prizes.  Well done everyone!

Performing Arts Day

We had a wonderful time at our performing arts day for 7-14s. Once everyone arrived there was a rolling programme of Dance, Crafts, Timbrels, Choir, Puppets Drama, Orchestra and Drum Circle.

In in the evening we had a concert to show Mums, Dads, Grandmas and Grandads what we'd learned during the day.  It was so good, we may well do it again next year - watch this space!  Check out the Gallery for some of the photos from the day.  Grenville Burn led the weekend and performed wonderful magic for everyone.  He also presented our kids with certificates for their JZone awards.
